Based on the current attitude of the Australian Commonwealth Government toward China-Australia cooperation, the National Development and Reform Commission of the People¡¯s Republic of China decides to indefinitely suspend all activities under the framework of the China-Australia Strategic Economic Dialogue jointly held by the National Development and Reform Commission of the People¡¯s Republic of China and relevant ministries of the Australian Common wealth Government.

What is the mechanism of China Australia strategic economic dialogue?


The China Australia strategic economic dialogue is an important mechanism under the regular meeting of the Chinese and Australian prime ministers and an important part of various mechanisms for consolidating the bilateral relations between China and Australia. On the morning of September 16, 2017, he Lifeng, director of the national development and Reform Commission, presided over the third China Australia strategic economic dialogue with Australian Treasury minister Morrison and Australian Minister of trade, tourism and investment Qiao Bo. He had in-depth exchanges on the global and bilateral macroeconomic situation, economic reform, opportunities and challenges of two-way investment between China and Australia, and tapping the potential of China Australia cooperation.
